「相互依存性」を指して、仏教では「空」と言う。また、「無」とも言うが、それは、何も無いことを指すのではなく、実体としての存在が、どこにも無く、すべてのものは相互依存関係にあるという事を指す。

ちなみに英語では「空」を「関係性」と訳す。これは空の本質を上手く訳している。
